Linking words and phrases - writing

Below you can find a list of linking words and phrases that you can use in your writing and that will help you to guide your reader through your writing. In other words, using linking words and phrases you can link sentences, paragraphs and sections both forwards and backwards. Proper use will make what you have written easy to follow. Best practice of  proper usage of various linking words and phrases is through reading. So read a lot. Repeat a lot. And practice a lot!
